Lives on the Palouse Change When Communities Care |
WIDE REACH -- United Way is the best way to reach the most people with your charitable donations. Through our network of local agencies, your dollars support 18 health and social services agencies offering essential programs in our community. United Way is our safety net here on the Palouse. |
WISE INVESTMENT -- United Way keeps administrative costs to a minimum. That means we put more of your money where you want it to go -- to help those who need it most. Last year, 85 percent of the funds we raised were allocated to Palouse area agencies, while 10 percent paid for fund-raising costs and 5 percent for our local administrative costs. |
RESULTS EXPECTED -- To become a United Way agency, local organizations must demonstrate how they provide vital services to the people of Whitman County and the Palouse region. Each year, an all-volunteer committee from United Way evaluates each agency's performance and make recommendations for funding based on the agency's results and plans for the coming year. |
YOUR INTERESTS -- Nearly all your contribution to United Way stays on the Palouse. Building a stronger community and ensuring a brighter future is what United Way is all about. |
Thank you for your support. |
