Eurocoin London

22mm, WM
About this token:
- Note: this is a bright "silver colored" token. It did not scan very well.
- Ron writes: Eurocoin was formed 25 years ago by the Chairman, Tom Veitch. It is now actively run by his two sons, Colin and Nick. Eurocoin tokens are manufactured by the Birmingham Mint which is the oldest mint in the world. Eurocoin tokens are manufactured for all types of applications; mostly for casinos which replaces hard currency.
- Jim writes: These were used mainly in the 70's and 80's for fruit machines [gambling?]. Very common in pubs and clubs, grooves often in different places on the coin to stop other companies from copying the design or cross use into other peoples machines. Still in use today as far as I know.
