I found the Air-Serv web page. It doesn't seem to mention tokens, but looks like the right company.
John writes (June, 2006): I work for AIR-serv and saw your inquiry regarding the AIR-serv token. We have all but eliminated them from our program, and have instead employed an RF transmitter operated by the store clerk to activate the tire inflator for a customer free use.
AO writes: You are correct that this token is from AIR-serv Group and is utilized in some of their air and vacuum machines. I used to work for AIR-serv, and I’m actually still in the same building as the company. There was a time when tokens were left at convenience stores so they could give them to their customers to use in place of a quarter to get air for their tire. I don’t know if they use tokens any longer since they are focused on pay air over free air.
